Karen Starr, PsyD

Dr. Karen Starr is a clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst. She is teaching faculty at the NYU Postdoctoral Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis, and clinical supervisor at The Graduate Center, City University of New York. She is co-author with Lewis Aron of A Psychotherapy for the People: Toward a Progressive Psychoanalysis; co-editor with Jill Bresler of Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy Integration; and author, Repair of the Soul: Metaphors of Transformation in Jewish Mysticism and Psychoanalysis. In addition to psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, Dr. Starr conducts writing and dissertation consultations. She maintains a private practice in New York City and Great Neck, New York.
