Shira Hon-Lahav (MA, RDT, LCAT, LP) holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Sociology from Hunter College, a Master of Arts Degree in Drama Therapy from New York University, and a Psychoanalytic degree from the Institute of Expressive Analysis (IEA).
Shira is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Registered Drama Therapist, and a Licensed Psychoanalyst. Shira has worked with mentally impaired chemically addicted (MICA) patients at the Drug and Alcohol Rehab Center at Bellevue Hospital. She has also worked at the psychiatric unit at Woodhull Hospital, where she led group counseling and individual therapy. She is fluent in both English and Hebrew and has conducted therapy in several different countries. Shira is also the co-founder of Peace of Mind, her practice housed in the building, and Embodied Minds, Public Speaking Consultants. She conducts public speaking sessions and workshops using her therapeutic sensitivity to tackle stage fright and anxiety related to speaking in front of an audience.
